Refunds: Refunds will be issued minus $25 cancelation fee up until 10 days before classes start. Refunds will be issued minus a $45 cancelation fee the week before classes start. We are unable to offer refunds or credits after the class semester begins.
Deposits: Summer tuition is due in full at the time of registration. If you make a $50 deposit for a summer session, the balance of your summer tuition will be automatically charged to your credit card the following day. If you make a $50 deposit for Fall, the balance of your tuition will be automatically charged to your credit card on August 15, 2025.
Makeup Classes: We allow for unlimited make-up classes as needed and as space allows over the course of the session. Makeups must be scheduled online via our Makeup Scheduler to allow us to control class size. Families who re-enroll may carry make-up classes over to the next session. No refunds or credits will be given for missed classes.
Canceled Classes: If Music Together of Decatur must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control (e.g., power outages, quarantines, teacher unavailability, etc.) classes will be offered via Zoom. We highly recommend that you opt-in to SMS text messaging to get time-sensitive information regarding your class. No refunds or credits will be given in these circumstances.
Eating In Class: Please feel comfortable to nurse or bottle-feed your child in class, but we ask that you not bring food or drinks into the classroom.
Picture Taking: We love for you to be fully engaged with your children during class, immersed in the experience rather than documenting it; we also understand that there are some precious moments you might want to capture! The play-along song is a great time to snap a picture of your child and then dive right back in. Some families do not want their pictures taken or shared so please be mindful of that.
Media Release: Occasionally your teacher, company director, or another parent/guardian may take photographs or videos during class. Music Together of Decatur and its business affiliates are hereby granted permission to take photographs and audio-visual recordings of the students in classes and other related events to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials that Music Together of Decatur creates. Permission is also hereby granted for Music Together of Decatur to copyright such photographs in its name. Any family wishing to opt out will state in the comments section of their registration form that they give no photo/video permission. Families may change their preferences at any time by emailing [email protected].
Cleaning Protocols: Any mouthed instruments will be collected separately and disinfected before the next use.
ASSUMPTION OF THE RISKS: I understand that naturally occurring diseases (including, but not limited to, the novel coronavirus or COVID-19), may exist in the community, including at Music Together of Decatur, and present an inherent
risk that cannot be eliminated. I acknowledge that, although Music Together of Decatur is taking reasonable measures to avoid contact, transmittal, and exposure of diseases like COVID-19 between people in our classes, it is ultimately my responsibility to ensure that I and my child take appropriate actions to safeguard ourselves. I understand and agree that as a participant in a Music Together of Decatur class, I am accepting and voluntarily assuming the risk that I or my child may be exposed and become ill as a result of COVID-19 and other diseases.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY: I, on behalf of myself and my child hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and covenant not to sue Music Together of Decatur, and its owners, managers, members, employees, agents, and volunteers (“Released Parties”) for any claims that may arise out of or relating in any way to my or my child’s exposure to any communicable disease, including but not limited to the novel coronavirus or COVID-19. The claims hereby released include but are not limited to, claims of negligence against any of the Released Parties.
I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS WAIVER AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. BY ENROLLING IN CLASSES AT MUSIC TOGETHER OF DECATUR, I UNDERSTAND I HAVE GIVEN UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS AND THAT THIS IS A BINDING LEGAL DOCUMENT.
