Audrey Schwind is passionate about sharing the joy of music with children and families. A skilled Music Together® teacher, early childhood educator, and lifelong vocalist, Audrey holds a dual degree in Elementary Education and Spanish from Western Washington University and a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Boise State University. She completed her Music Together^® teacher training in 2020 and founded Music Together North End in Boise, Idaho, a thriving center known for its quality and community engagement. After moving to Bellingham in 2024, she launched Music Together Fairhaven, which was voted Cascade's Best Preschool Program in its first year and featured in Southside Living magazine. Today, Music Together Fairhaven serves more than 65 families each week. Audrey, along with Teacher Grace, bring warmth, energy, and expertise to their work, inspiring families to make joyful music together. 

Music Together Fairhaven offers seven classes a week at two locations in Fairhaven and Downtown, serving children and families from throughout Bellingham and beyond.

Our Four Basic Principles:

All children are musical

All children can achieve basic music competence--the ability to sing in tune and move with accurate rhythm

The participation and modeling of parents and caregivers--regardless of their musical ability--are essential to a child's musical growth

We've Done Our Homework

Our early childhood music curriculum has decades of research behind it, in both music education and child development. We know what we're talking about, and we're good at what we do! And because we recognize that children learn through play, we make everything we do in class engaging and fun.

We're All About Family

We also know that young children learn best from the powerful role models in their lives. That's where you grownups come in! Our family music classes show parents, teachers, and caregivers how to help their children become confident music-makers just by having fun making music themselves.

The Rationale for Mixed-Age Classes

Music Together was the first early childhood music program to offer music classes for mixed ages. Child development researchers have known for a long time that the natural, family-style environment of mixed-age classes is the best way for young children to learn. In our experience, it works! In Mixed-Age classes, the older children love to show what they know, and the younger ones love to watch and imitate. The relaxed, no-pressure environment lets all kids learn at their own pace.

Classes Just for Babies

You might be wondering what your newborn could possibly take away from a music class, or how old they have to be before they can benefit. At Music Together®  we know your baby is born wired for music so it's never too early to start singing to and connecting with them through music! In our Babies classes, just for babies under eight months, we create a supportive community and give you key information about your baby's development and musical milestones.
