Meet the teachers of Music Together Fairhaven!

photo Audrey Schwind (Center Director/Teacher)

Audrey earned her BA in Elementary Education from Western Washington University where she completed her year-long teaching internship in kindergarten. She pursued NCAA Division I and III collegiate coaching in Portland, OR before parlaying her interests in teaching and coaching into a Master's of Science in Kinesiology from Boise State University. She worked closely with her graduate advisor studying positive youth development through physical activity. Audrey and her husband Adam started their family in 2019. Motherhood has rekindled Audrey’s passion for early childhood education and a lifelong love of music. Her love of teaching, music and movement inspired her to become a Music Together® teacher and start Music Together Fairhaven!

Grace has twelve years of teaching experience in both public and private schools. She holds a BA in Music Education from WWU and spent nine years as an Elementary Music Specialist at Custer Elementary. Her primary instruments include guitar, ukulele, and voice. At Meadows Montessori School, she assisted in the Young Children’s Community (ages 15 months to 3 years). Her interest in working with toddlers led her to discover Music Together, attend the MT training, and join Audrey at Music Together Fairhaven! Outside of teaching, she loves relaxing on a beach, gardening, caring for her Ragdoll cats, watching movies with her husband, and playing imaginative games with her son.

photo Mike Mathieu (Teacher)

Mike has been singing and performing since he was a kid. He can still fit into the sequined outfit he wore in his high school showchoir. He actually wore it many times as one half of The Cody Rivers Show, a sketch comedy duo that was born in Bellingham and became a fan favorite at small venues and theater festivals across the country. Mike still performs locally from time to time and co-hosts a weekly improvised story podcast called “Baderson.” He became a Music Together teacher after joining his second child in class and seeing how magical it is. Outside of artsy stuff, Mike is a freelance marketing writer and enjoys not camping with his family.
